New at Toptester: MIL-STD-810H Solar Radiation Testing for Sunlight Exposure
How well does your product withstand intense sunlight and long-term UV exposure?
Toptester is expanding its testing capabilities to include solar radiation testing according to MIL-STD-810H, Method 505.7 – Solar Radiation (Sunshine), Procedure II – Steady State (Actinic Effects).
These tests simulate the effects of sunlight with up to 2.5 times the normal radiation load, alternating between exposure and recovery periods at temperatures of 44–49 °C.
The method provides a fast and reliable way to assess how long-term outdoor use and UV radiation affect a product over months or even years.
This testing procedure is particularly important in the defense industry, vehicle manufacturing, electrical equipment, and other products designed for outdoor environments.
Toptester now offers MIL-STD-810H Method 505.7 Procedure II tests efficiently and in full compliance with standards. Ensure your product’s durability under the sun.
